WUDFRd Driver Failure (0xC0000365) causing UI screen freezes?

Hi everyone,

For the past few days, my system has been experiencing persistent screen micro-stutters and UI freezes (display locks up, but background audio and mouse cursor continue working). In Event Viewer, I consistently get the following error during these freezes: "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load".

The error does include an USB device usually "HID\VID_03F0&PID_07B4&MI_02&Col03\9&241838e&0&0002" or "HID\VID_1532&PID_056C&MI_05&Col03\a&b481850&0&0002"

Aswell I have noticed that my mouse and keyboard (Logitech G910 and G502 HERO) keep appearing in with a question mark "Other Devices" and even with mulitpul restarts, uninstalls they remain there.
I have also unistalled the Logitech G HUB and Razer Synapse programs.
A few thing I did and or tried is setting the Registry WUDFRd Start = 2 (Automatic) and disabling the USB Power Management, but if that had any effect I am unsure.

Could this be tied to an underlying USB host controller driver conflict or something? Any advice on how to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi, thank you for replying. Upon checking and analyzing the event logs, there are multiple Device: ROOT\DISPLAY\0000 errors. May I know the make and model of your Graphics card? So that I can provide you steps wherein we will do clean installation of the graphics card driver.

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

Based on the initial inputs you have provided, it seems that there is a graphics-related issue on the PC. Moreover, can you please check the System logs on the PC so I can further examine the root cause of the issue?

To share the System logs, please follow the steps in the link below:

Press the Windows key + X, then select "Event Viewer"

Click the drop-down of "Windows logs"

Right-click System > click Filter Current logs > Check: Critical, Warning, and Error > Hit OK

On the right pane, click "Save Filtered Log File As..."

Save the System logs file to your desktop and share it by following the steps from the link:

Note: You can also use your preferred cloud storage to upload and share the logs.
