Hello, did you mean to include a screenshot and forget it?

Can you please provide the screenshot so I can have some visual context, otherwise this is unfortunately not enough information for me to troubleshoot. Thanks!!

The lower-right panel is most likely Windows 10 Action Center; clear its existing notifications, then disable banners from the app that is generating them.

    Clear and stop the popup

    1. Press Windows key + A to open Action Center.
    2. Select Clear all notifications at the bottom.
    3. When the notification appears again, select its Settings button, then choose Turn off all notifications for that sender.
    4. Alternatively, open Start → Settings → System → Notifications & actions.
    5. Under Get notifications from these senders, locate the sender shown on the popup and switch it Off. If you still want its alerts recorded without covering your work, select the sender and turn off Show notification banners instead. ^1^

Restart the computer and confirm that the panel no longer opens after sign-in.

If it is specifically “Windows 10 Update Assistant”

First verify that Windows 10 Update Assistant appears under Start → Settings → Apps → Apps & features. If it does:

    1. Select Windows 10 Update Assistant.
    2. Select Uninstall.
    3. Restart the computer.

Microsoft documents this removal for persistent prompts generated by Update Assistant. Do not use this step unless that exact program is listed. ^2^

Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025, so it no longer receives free security fixes through ordinary Windows Update. Plan to move the PC to Windows 11 if its hardware supports it. ^1^
