A cloud-based identity and access management service for securing user authentication and resource access
No publicly documented reconsideration or appeal procedure exists for a Minecraft Services AppID that has already been blocked; request a manual review through Minecraft Support, referencing the existing enforcement correspondence and asking specifically whether the original Client ID can be reconsidered.
Submit a focused reconsideration request
Because the AppID review form has already produced three declines, do not submit the same application again unless Mojang directs you to do so.
- Open a case through the Minecraft Help Center’s support routing page. Minecraft’s public support resources route cases to general support rather than publishing a dedicated developer AppID appeal form.^1^
- If the October 30 enforcement response permits replies, reply to that case instead of opening a duplicate.
- Use an explicit subject such as Request for reconsideration of blocked Minecraft Services AppID after material corrective changes.
- Include:
- The original Entra application/Client ID.
- All prior AppID-review case or submission identifiers.
- The October 30 enforcement case identifier and exact block confirmation.
- The affected Minecraft Services endpoint, complete HTTP status and response body, UTC timestamps, and correlation/request IDs if returned.
- A concise changelog mapping each corrective control to the factors Mojang previously identified.
- Source commit and release identifiers.
- Reproduction instructions and test results.
- A direct request for one of these outcomes:
- reconsider the existing Client ID;
- identify any remaining eligibility requirement;
- confirm that the decision is final and whether a materially changed application may be resubmitted.
Avoid including client secrets, access tokens, refresh tokens, tenant credentials, or users’ personal data.
What the current documentation establishes
Microsoft OAuth registration and Minecraft Services authorization are separate. A valid OAuth token—and even successful Xbox Live and XSTS exchanges—does not itself grant access to restricted Minecraft services; an unapproved application can be rejected with HTTP 403.^2^
The available public material does not document:
- a reconsideration form for blocked Minecraft Services Client IDs;
- a guaranteed right to resubmit the same Client ID after remediation;
- a published escalation SLA;
- a requirement to replace the Client ID;
- a self-service Entra setting that removes the Minecraft restriction.
Consequently, retaining the existing Entra registration is reasonable while review is pending, but there is no documented basis for expecting that code changes alone will automatically restore it. Registering another Client ID would not itself grant Minecraft Services access and should not be used to work around the block.^2^
The Minecraft account-ban appeal process is not applicable: it concerns player-account enforcement, not application/Client-ID authorization.^3^ Likewise, the Microsoft Store certification appeal process applies to Store certification decisions, not Minecraft Services allowlisting.
Conditional Xbox developer route
If WZBC-Launcher is part of an Xbox game intended for Xbox or Windows publishing, the documented route is to register as an Xbox partner and apply to ID@Xbox. The application requires Partner Center enrollment and business/studio information.^4^
After enrollment, developers who cannot use Xbox services are instructed to work through their Xbox contacts.^5^ That provides a managed developer-support relationship, but the documentation does not say that ID@Xbox handles appeals for independent third-party Minecraft launchers. Do not present WZBC-Launcher as an Xbox game merely to obtain that route.
An accepted Q&A answer has suggested ID@Xbox for launcher-related XboxLive.signin access, but it also notes that the program expects a game submission.^6^ Treat this as an eligibility-dependent escalation option, not as a documented Minecraft AppID appeal process.
In short: the only supportable path for the original Client ID is a targeted manual-reconsideration request to Minecraft Support or the existing enforcement thread. Whether Mojang will reconsider it—and whether remediation is sufficient—is not specified publicly and can only be decided by that service’s review team.
