Hi SillyGuy,
Thanks for explaining what you’ve already tried. You also mentioned repairing Windows, so could you clarify what kind of repair you performed? For example, did you run SFC or DISM, perform an in-place repair using installation media, use the recovery reinstall option, or reset the PC? Did it complete successfully? I’d rather confirm that first than ask you to repeat the same repair.
A few other details may help narrow this down:
- Has the launcher ever worked on this PC or is this the first time you’ve tried installing it?
- Did the problem begin after a Windows update, hardware change, drive replacement or moving apps to another drive?
- Is Windows installed on the C: drive and are new apps also set to install there under Settings > System > Storage > Advanced storage settings > Where new content is saved?
- Is there an older Minecraft Launcher, Minecraft for Windows, Xbox or Gaming Services entry still listed under Settings > Apps > Installed apps?
- Which edition of Windows 11 are you using, such as Home, Pro or an N edition?
- Is the date, time, time zone and region shown correctly in Windows?
- How much free space is available on the Windows drive?
Please also share the Windows version and OS build shown by winver. There’s no need to repeat the diagnostic or profile tests already suggested. Once you confirm the type of Windows repair and the details above, it should be easier to decide on the next step without going over the same troubleshooting again.
