A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
In Excel for Windows, use the sheet-tab scrolling controls at the lower-left of the workbook to locate the required sheet, then select its tab.
- Look at the bottom-left, immediately before the worksheet tabs.
- Use the left/right tab-scrolling buttons until the required sheet name appears.
- Select the sheet tab to open it.
- If the tabs are difficult to see, maximize the Excel window to display more of them. Microsoft documents tab scrolling as the Windows method for finding a worksheet whose tab is not visible.^1^
If an All Sheets control is visible
In Excel for the web, select All Sheets in the lower-left corner, then select the required sheet from the complete list. Use this method in desktop Excel only if your installed build visibly provides that control.^2^
The sheet list lets you select a name; it does not necessarily provide a box for typing and searching a sheet name.
If you meant searching for data inside every sheet
Press Ctrl+F, select Options >>, and set Within to Workbook. Enter the text or number, then select Find All or Find Next. This searches cell contents throughout the workbook rather than worksheet names.^3^
