Hacked Account

My Microsoft account got hacked this month and I am losing hope. The only thing the hacker changed is the recovery/security email, and I am waiting for an update on my SIR#. I heard that when hackers turn on 2FA it becomes impossible, and they have not turned it on yet so I am getting really impatient for an answer before they make additional changes. I also heard that they break promises with time frames and take months. The person emailing me regarding my SIR# sent me two emails, one asking for my past recovery info to verify and then if confirmed they will reverse my info, then the other saying that the internal teams are going to investigate my issue further. I followed every single form and none of it leads me to the correct help, as I am not able to change security info because it is locked behind my hacker’s email. Every live chat agent I have talked to always has the same answer and sometimes avoids my questions. They also all seem AI-generated. I am not sure if this is possible, but my last resort is just asking Microsoft to completely close my account just so the hacker doesn’t get any further data or just have my things in general. I just need an ounce of hope because this is affecting me personally because I can’t focus on life while waiting for an answer.

As much as I wish there was I'm afraid there isn't as Microsoft has no access to Two Factor Authentication. Once it's been turned on there would be no way to access the account without that security option.

Thank you for the information. As the person has turned on Two Factor Authentication I'm afraid that there would be no recourse to recover the account. Please accept my apologies for this.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

However, I'm afraid that support is unable to help with account recovery. What they have done though is to create the Microsoft Account Recovery Form which you can read about using via this link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/manage/help-with-the-microsoft-account-recovery-form. What I would recommend is to complete the form and write down the answers you've provided then keep an eye on your email including the junk/spam folder for the response.
