Hello Microsoft Azure Support Team,

I am a currently enrolled student at Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT), Gujarat, India. I am trying to activate Azure for Students to learn cloud computing and build academic projects.

When I click “Verify academic status” on the academic verification form, I immediately receive this error:

“You do not have access. Sorry but our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access.”

I have checked that I am using my active university student account and the correct Charotar University directory. I have never claimed an Azure subscription or Azure for Students offer before.

The Azure portal shows zero subscriptions and no available billing scopes. I have attempted verification 5–6 times but have not received any confirmation email. The same error occurs on every attempt.

Latest error details:

Session ID: 308e813e-120a-4033-9997-1cf375e7555b

Timestamp UTC: 10/29/2026 5:39:02 PM

Could you please investigate why my academic verification or account eligibility check is failing? Please confirm whether my university email domain is recognized and whether I am eligible for Azure for Students. If necessary, please advise how I can complete manual academic verification and activate my subscription.

I can provide proof of enrollment or my university ID through an appropriate private support channel if required.

Thank you for your assistance.

    Submit the case through the dedicated Azure for Students support form at https://aka.ms/azureforstudentssupport and request a manual eligibility review, academic-domain check, and verification reset; an Azure subscription is not required to use this form.^1^

    What to include

    Provide:

    • Your university-issued email address.
    • Institution name: Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT).
    • The exact message:
      “You do not have access. Sorry but our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access.”
    • The session ID and UTC timestamp from the failed request.
    • A statement that:
      • you are currently enrolled full-time;
      • you have not previously redeemed Azure for Students;
      • the account has no subscriptions or billing scopes;
      • repeated attempts fail immediately without sending an email.
    • This explicit request:

    Please perform a manual Azure for Students eligibility review, confirm whether my institution’s email domain is recognized, check for any previous or duplicate eligibility record associated with my identities, and reset or unblock academic verification if appropriate.

    Do not post your student ID, enrollment certificate, complete email address, or other personal documents publicly. Keep proof of enrollment available and provide it only if Microsoft Support gives you a private upload method. Where the sign-up page does not offer document upload, manual verification cannot be initiated from that page; Azure support must review the case.^2^

    Eligibility and domain recognition

    Azure for Students requires that you:

    • attend an accredited, degree-granting two-year or four-year institution as a full-time student;
    • verify academic status through your institution’s email address; and
    • have no other Azure for Students subscription, because the offer is limited to one per eligible customer.^3^

    Having an active university account and zero Azure subscriptions is consistent with applying, but it does not independently confirm that Microsoft recognizes the university domain or that the account passes the offer’s additional eligibility checks. Only the support review can confirm those account-specific facts.

    Also ask CHARUSAT’s IT department whether:

    • other students using the same email domain can currently activate Azure for Students;
    • the institution/domain is registered as an approved academic organization;
    • they can raise an Azure billing or subscription-management request on your behalf if student support cannot validate it.^2^

    If the student support form cannot be submitted

    Azure supports tickets for Billing and Subscription Management even when no subscription exists. The Azure CLI specifically provides az support no-subscription tickets create for this purpose, although it requires a valid problem-classification ID and contact details.^4^

    The portal route is:

    1. Open Azure portal → Help + support.
    2. Select New support request.
    3. Choose Subscription Management or Billing and subscription.
    4. Select the closest available category for Account / Azure for Students verification.
    5. Request the same manual eligibility and domain review described above.

    Microsoft documents the portal support-request process and provides unlimited subscription-management support.^5^

    Stop repeated verification attempts for now

    Since 5–6 attempts have already produced the same immediate result, do not repeat the verification while awaiting review. Microsoft notes that excessive or repetitive verification requests can trigger a temporary block that prevents verification messages from being sent.^6^
