For the past few days, when I click on the Search in the tasbar, the content is missing except for the suggested apps.

If you want the Recent searches to appear in the Search window, then you need to search for something.

This is how the Windows Search should look now.

There is nothing wrong with your Windows installation or the Search box.

This can occur when Windows Search cannot load its web-backed content. A documented cause is when website caches and databases are disabled in Internet Options or by policy, which can make Desktop Search show no results or blank content.

    Try this:

    1. Check whether website caches are disabled:
      • Open Internet Options.
      • Go to General > Browsing History > Settings.
      • Open Website Data Settings > Caches and databases.
      • Make sure Allow website caches and databases is enabled.
    2. If the setting is managed by policy, use the Windows Search workaround:
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
      • Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Search.
      • Open Don't search the web or display web results in Search.
      • Set it to Enabled.
      • Select Apply, then OK.

This makes Desktop Search avoid using web platform APIs for search content. If the blank area is caused by web content failing to load, this can mitigate the issue.

Don't you see the "Search bar" at the top of "Suggested"?

There are some reports of this problems lately, this may be caused by a new setting added to Windows 11.

    Open the Settings App.

Go to Privacy and Security - Search.

Do you have a new section in there labelled 'how suggested search results'.

If so, try toggling the settings in that section On to test if that resolves the problem.

Backup your important data and perform the repair shown in the article below. It doesn't delete any files but I still recommend to have a backup of important data:

After backup check if your issue get fixed
