Is it possible to pull usage and adoption related data/trend for the skill shared within the organization?

Goal is to identify

Who are/were the active users

  • How many tasks were done using this shared skill

Average tasks per users

What tasks/questions were done using this skill?

Microsoft Copilot | Microsoft 365 Copilot | Development

    Hello Dara K ,
Yes, this is possible to some extent, but it depends on what type of shared skill or agent you’re using.

For a Copilot Studio agent, the built-in Analytics dashboard can show overall adoption trends, active-user counts, sessions, and topic/action usage. This should help identify how frequently the skill is being used and which tasks are triggered most often.

However, details such as the names of individual users, exact questions asked, and average tasks per named user may not be available directly through standard analytics. For that level of reporting, you may need conversation transcript data or custom telemetry through Application Insights, followed by reporting in Power BI.

Also, keep privacy, compliance, and data-retention policies in mind before reporting employee identities or their exact prompts.

So, aggregated usage and adoption reporting is supported, but detailed user-to-task tracking may require additional telemetry. The exact options will depend on whether this is a Copilot Studio agent, a Microsoft 365 Copilot agent, or another type of shared skill.
