Tenant Governance: will PIM eligibility per role (not per group) be supported in governance policy templates?

We are an MSSP looking to move from access packages to tenant governance relationships with GDAP-based delegated administration.

In the current model, the governance policy template maps Entra roles in the governed tenant to security groups in the governing tenant, and access is controlled by making that group membership PIM-eligible. Activating the group grants every role mapped to it in the governed tenant at once. There is no way to activate a single role, as we could before with eligible role assignments in the customer tenant.

Is per-role eligibility in a governance policy template (or PIM on the remote tenant group roles in the governed tenant) planned, or is group-level activation for every role the intended design?

Currently, we need N groups x M customers to get per-customer activation, since this is the least-privilege, JIT access method.
