Sending multimedia content and documents within chat conversations in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams does not currently provide a Favorites collection in its GIF picker, so the closest built-in solution is to save messages containing the GIFs you want to find again quickly.^1^
Save a GIF message for quick access
- Find or send the GIF in a chat or channel.
- Hover over the message containing it.
- Select More options (…) → Save this message.
- Open Saved at the top of your chats and channels list.
- Select the saved message to reopen the original conversation and GIF.
You can filter the Saved section by chats or channels. To remove an item later, select More options (…) → Unsave this message.^2^
This saves the message, not the GIF as a favorite inside the GIF picker. If the original message is deleted, its entry remains under Saved, but the GIF may no longer be available in context.^2^
For a dedicated GIF-favorites feature, submit or upvote the request in the official Teams feedback community.^3^
