Hi Walters, Natasha (School SA),
I understand that this is time-sensitive, especially with your PowerPoint assignment due soon.
To narrow this down, are the two recordings silent both when you select the audio icon and click Play, and when you run the presentation in Slide Show mode? Also, do the other recordings in the same presentation play normally?
In the meantime, please try the following:
- Save a copy of the presentation and restart PowerPoint.
- Select one of the affected audio icons, go to the Playback tab, and confirm that Volume is not set to Mute or Low.
- Right-click the audio icon and select Save Media as, then open the saved audio file outside PowerPoint. This will help determine whether the recording itself contains sound.
- Go to File > Info and select Optimize Compatibility if that option appears.
- If the exported audio file is also silent, the recording may not contain captured audio, so the quickest option may be to re-record those two affected sections.

Thank you so much for your understanding.
