A rejected Surface Support Portal verification must be reviewed through a support request; sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center with the organization’s work account and use Support > Microsoft Surface support > Help & support.^1^
Request reverification
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center using the work account associated with the organization.
- In the left navigation, select Support > Microsoft Surface support.
- Open Help & support, then select Create support request.
- Enter a description such as:
- “Surface Support Portal account verification status is Rejected.”
- Request review and reverification of the organization’s tenant.
- Include the organization’s legal name, domain, and the date verification was rejected.
- Review the suggested actions. If they do not resolve the rejection, select Contact support.
- Choose phone or email, add any requested supporting documents, and select Contact me. The request will appear under Help & support for tracking.^1^
Microsoft states that even when Surface Support Portal access is delayed or denied, support requests can still be created through Help & Support. For faster handling, include the affected Surface serial number and shipping address when the request concerns a device or service order.^1^
Before submitting
- Confirm that the signed-in account belongs to the correct organizational tenant. If the organization already has a tenant but the user lacks access, the tenant administrator must create or authorize the account.
- Ensure the account has at least one appropriate admin role configured, because this is a prerequisite for the Surface Support Portal.^1^
- If available, attach the rejection screen and any email explaining what information failed verification.
- Do not use the personal Microsoft-account recovery form unless the problem is actually an inability to sign in to a personal account; Surface Support Portal onboarding uses organizational tenant validation.
If Microsoft Surface support is unavailable in the Admin Center, use the online Surface Business and Education support route. Microsoft identifies the Surface Support Portal as the primary channel and also provides a legacy Support for Business option when further assistance is required.^2^
If “Rejected” appears in Partner Center instead
Only use this branch if the rejection is displayed under Partner Center > Account settings > Legal info, rather than in the Surface Support Portal. Open Verification Summary, identify the failed check, and submit an appeal if that option is available. The business name and address must match official registration records exactly, and the user completing verification needs an eligible administrative role.^3^
