Replace the voice in Copilot

The new coplot may have some worthy Improvements but the American voice is drivel and not an improvement for the modern world with numerous accents and dialect .PLEASE go back and give us customers choice of voice .I have stopped using it now and get better vocals from Gemini !!

One very Unhappy customer but im just a small voice in amongst the millions

Agree.. I hate this American female voice.. It really does grate and I have stopped using copilot voice as result!

Yup. Same issue. Great with the chilled, friendly British voice. The over perky america lady makes me want to push her and my pc off a cliff. (ADHD sensory overload)

Just means i will use an alternative now. This voice is not acceptable. Literally causing me pain. If you knew anything about disabilities, ADHD and overload at MS this wouldn't even be an issue. I have tried every route to change it back and this forum was the only option. Feedback from the app never gets a personal response anyway.

I appreciate you replying but there's defining no understanding of why MS would take these options out. They literally penalise people for being disabled. The voice is okay if you are wanting a soccer mom talking you through sensory issues, not so great if the pitch, tone etc actually trigger sensory issues.

Hi Paul Govier,

I can understand why this change has affected your experience, especially when the previous voice felt more comfortable and familiar to you.

Depending on the Copilot version and account rollout, you may be able to select your profile icon and check Voice or Voice Settings for any available alternatives. Microsoft’s current guidance explains where the preferred voice setting normally appears: Using Copilot Voice with Microsoft Copilot.

If no other voices are shown, the previous option may not currently be available in your version of Copilot. As this is a user-to-user support forum, contributors cannot restore a voice or change the available product options. The most effective way to make this request visible to the Copilot team is to end a voice conversation and use the thumbs-down button to submit feedback, mentioning that you would like a choice of accents and voices.
