    Dear Vince DiCecco,

If you already have an active Microsoft 365 Family subscription, Microsoft Access is included with your subscription, so you do not need to purchase it separately.

To install Microsoft Access on your Windows PC:

    1. Sign in at Microsoft Office using the same Microsoft account associated with your Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
    2. Select Install apps in the upper-right corner.
    3. Select Microsoft 365 apps to download the installer.
    4. Once the download is complete, open OfficeSetup.exe and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
    5. After the installation finishes, open the Windows Start menu and search for Access.
    6. Select Microsoft Access to open the application.

Microsoft Access should be installed as part of the Microsoft 365 apps included with your Family subscription.

For detailed installation instructions, please refer to: Install Office on your PC or Mac.

Kindly let me know how it goes. Thank you very much for your valuable time and your cooperation.

Microsoft Access is included with Microsoft 365 Family, so install the Microsoft 365 desktop apps using the Microsoft account connected to your subscription.^1^

    Download and install Access

    1. Go to Microsoft 365 Apps.
    2. Select Sign in and use the Microsoft account associated with your Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
    3. Select Install apps in the upper-right corner.
    4. Select Microsoft 365 apps or Install.
    5. Open the downloaded installer:
      • Microsoft Edge: select Run
      • Chrome: select Setup
      • Firefox: select Save File, then open the downloaded file
    6. If Windows asks whether the installer can make changes, select Yes.
    7. Keep the PC connected to the Internet until “You’re all set! Office is installed now” appears.^2^
    8. Open Start, type Access, and select Microsoft Access. Sign in with the same Microsoft account if activation is requested.

The installer may also install or update other Microsoft 365 desktop applications included with your subscription.

    If Access does not appear

First, press the Windows key and search for Access—it may already be installed.

    If it is still missing:

    1. Close all Microsoft 365 applications.
    2. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
    3. Find the Microsoft 365 or Office package.
    4. Select the three dots (…) → Modify.
    5. Run Quick Repair.
    6. If Access remains unavailable, return to the same screen and run Online Repair, then restart the PC and search for Access again.^3^

If Install apps is not displayed, check that the signed-in account is the one that owns the Family subscription—or the account to which the subscription owner shared Microsoft 365.
