    Welcome Ann Barnhill,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand you can no longer sign in to KU websites that you previously used to access and pay your bills.

Could you please confirm: 1, What exact error message or error code appears when the KU sign-in fails? 2, Does the problem occur before or after you enter your KU username and password?

Please make sure you already tried the Q&A Assist steps. In addition, please try the following:

1, Check the date and time in Windows 11.

    • Go to Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
    • Enable Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically.
    • Select Sync now if that option is available.

2, Open Edge and press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.

    • Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
    • Clear the data, close Edge completely, reopen it, and try the KU website again.

3, If the KU sign-in page displays a specific account, authentication, or access error, please share the exact wording here without including your username, password, student ID, or other personal information.

    Looking forward to your update.

Because the failure occurs in multiple browsers and devices, test the official KU sign-in from a different network; if it still fails, contact the KU IT Help Desk rather than changing the Windows firewall.

    1. Test without network filtering

    1. Open KU’s official Enroll & Pay / CS Student Information page: ^1^
    2. Temporarily disconnect any VPN and disable custom DNS, parental controls, or web-filtering/security software. KU notes that these can interfere with access to its services.^2^
    3. Connect one device to a genuinely different network—for example, disconnect it from Wi-Fi and use cellular data—then try again.
      • Works on cellular: the original router, DNS service, VPN, or security filter is blocking KU. Re-enable each item individually to identify it.
      • Still fails on cellular: move to the KU support step below.

Do not add KU as a Windows “trusted site” or broadly disable the Windows firewall. KU’s Firewall Management page describes an administrator-managed service, not a normal student sign-in remedy.^3^

    2. Check KU’s central sign-in

Try KU’s central Single Sign On page directly.^4^

    • If central sign-in also rejects the account, the KU Online ID may be locked, expired, or otherwise require KU to check it.
    • If central sign-in succeeds but Enroll & Pay fails, report that distinction to KU because it helps isolate the affected service.

    3. Contact KU IT if it fails on another network

Use KU’s Student Technology Help options.^5^ Include:

    • The exact message shown on screen.
    • The date and approximate time of the attempt.
    • Whether both central KU Single Sign On and Enroll & Pay failed.
    • That it failed in multiple browsers, on multiple devices, and—if confirmed—on cellular data.
    • A screenshot with your KU ID, email address, payment details, and other personal information hidden.

Repairing or resetting Edge is not the next step here: Microsoft states that when a page also fails in another browser, the network or website may be responsible and the website owner should be contacted if network troubleshooting does not resolve it.^6^
