Set the desktop background to Slideshow, then browse to and select the existing picture folder on your Desktop.

  1. Right-click an empty area of the desktop and select Personalize.
  2. Select Background.
  3. Under Personalize your background, choose Slideshow.
  4. Select Browse.
  5. In the folder-selection window, open Desktop, click the folder containing your pictures, and choose Select this folder or Choose this folder.
  6. Set how often the picture changes and turn Shuffle on if you want the pictures displayed randomly.
  7. Choose a fit such as Fill or Fit if needed.

Windows will rotate through the images in that folder as your desktop background. You can also right-click the desktop and select Next desktop background to move immediately to the next image.^1^

If Slideshow is unavailable and you use multiple virtual desktops, Windows does not support slideshow backgrounds with multiple desktops.^1^
