    Hello @Neil Hayes

If your concern is that while you are editing a presentation in PowerPoint on your iPad, you switch to another application, and then when you switch back to PowerPoint, the app returns to the Home screen instead of keeping the presentation open, I understand the behavior you are referring to, as shown in the screenshot below.

I have experienced the same behavior as well. Since this can interrupt your workflow, I strongly encourage you to submit your feedback directly through the Microsoft Feedback Portal. The Microsoft development teams actively review customer feedback, and many enhancements have been implemented based on community input. When submitting your feedback, I recommend including your iPad model, iPadOS version, PowerPoint version, and the steps that reproduce the behavior. This information can help clearly describe the scenario you are experiencing.

If you decide to submit feedback, please feel free to share the link with me. I would be more than happy to support it, and doing so may also help increase visibility so that other users experiencing the same situation can find and endorse it. The more engagement a request receives, the higher the likelihood that it will be carefully reviewed.

If you decide to submit the feedback, please feel free to share the feedback link with me. I would be happy to support it. Sharing the feedback publicly can also help other users who experience the same behavior find and support the request.

Thank you again for taking the time to clearly document this issue. I sincerely hope Microsoft will review the feedback and consider improving this behavior in a future update.

    I found a temporary solution.

Go to settings-- Apps -- power point.
at the end, select 'Reset power point' . Inside that there are 03 check points, select all of them.
    Done.
This seems correcting the issue for a while.

May be repeated, whenever required. Till Microsoft comes with a solution !!
