Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Dear @Arun Kumar,
I hope you’re having a good day
Based on your description, this sounds more like an authentication or credential issue than a Teams meetings issue.
I would recommend trying the following steps in order:
1. Sign out of Teams completely
- Open Teams.
- Select your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Choose Sign out.
- Close Teams completely, including from the system tray notification area.
2. Clear the Teams cache
- Press Windows + R.
- Enter:
%LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache - Delete the contents of the cache folders.
- Restart Teams and sign in again.
3. Remove old Microsoft credentials
- Open Control Panel > Credential Manager > Windows Credentials.
- Look for entries related to:
- Microsoft Office
- Teams
- Azure AD
- Microsoft 365
- Remove the affected entries.
- Restart Windows and sign back into Teams.
4. Verify account consistency
If you use multiple Microsoft accounts on the same device, make sure Teams, Office applications, and Windows are all signed in with the expected work or school account. Authentication loops can occur when old cached credentials conflict with the active account.
5. Test Teams on the web
Sign in to Teams through a web browser and observe whether the same sign-in prompt appears every 20 minutes.
If Teams on the web remains stable while the desktop application repeatedly requests credentials, that would point to a local client, cache, or credential issue on the device.
If the problem continues after these steps, please let me know:
- Are you using the new Teams desktop app or Teams on the web?
- Is this a work/school account or a personal Microsoft account?
- Does the sign-in prompt appear only in Teams, or do Outlook and other Microsoft 365 apps also request credentials repeatedly?
I hope this information helps point you in the right direction. If you run into any issues while trying the steps, or if something still doesn’t feel quite right, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. I’ll do my best to support you however I can.
Looking forward to hearing back from you with any updates or additional details.
Warm regards,
