    Dear Krisha Maniya,

For better understanding your situation, could you tell me:

    • Which version are you using (Microsoft 365, Office 2021, Office 2019, etc.)?
    • What happens exactly after clicking Repair Now? Any error message or does it just disappear?
    • Does Word or Excel open normally?

In the meantime, if PowerPoint shows a message asking to repair and then closes immediately after you click Repair, besides AI answer's suggestions, please try these steps:

    1/Reset PowerPoint Settings

    • Press Windows + R
    • Type: regedit Navigate to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office

    • Rename the PowerPoint-related registry key (after backing up the registry) and test again.

2/Create a New Windows User Profile

Sometimes Office settings in the user profile become corrupted. Create a new local Windows account and test PowerPoint there.

I hope it helps. If not, please update more information as my previous questions so I can support you more effectively.

Run a full Online Repair from Windows Settings instead of using the Repair Now button inside PowerPoint, because that repair attempt ended with an error.

    1. Run Online Repair

    Close all Office applications first.

    Windows 11

    1. Right-click Start and select Installed apps.
    2. Find Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office.
    3. Select the three dots (…) beside it, then Modify.
    4. Select Online Repair → Repair.
    5. Allow the process to finish without closing the window, then restart the computer.

    Windows 10

    1. Right-click Start and select Apps and Features.
    2. Select Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office, then select Modify.
    3. Select Online Repair → Repair.
    4. Let it finish, then restart the computer.

Online Repair repairs the entire Office installation, including PowerPoint.^1^

    2. If PowerPoint still opens and closes, test Safe Mode

Safe Mode starts PowerPoint without add-ins:

    1. Press Windows key + R.
    2. Enter:
    powerpnt.exe /safe

    1. Select OK.

    If PowerPoint remains open:

    1. Go to File → Options → Add-ins.
    2. At the bottom, choose COM Add-ins beside Manage, then select Go.
    3. Clear every add-in checkbox and select OK.
    4. Close PowerPoint and open it normally.
    5. If it now works, enable add-ins one at a time and restart PowerPoint after each one to identify the conflicting add-in.^2^

    3. If Online Repair also produces an error

    Uninstall and reinstall Office:

    1. Make sure the Microsoft 365 or Office sign-in information used by the school is available.
    2. Open Microsoft’s uninstall troubleshooter on the affected PC.
    3. Follow its prompts and restart Windows when requested.
    4. Reinstall the appropriate Microsoft 365 or Office version and sign in with the licensed school account.

The troubleshooter requires Windows 10 or later and currently cannot uninstall Office 2024. Uninstalling Office removes the applications, not presentations or other documents created with them.^3^

If this is a school-managed computer and Windows prevents modification or reinstallation, provide the repair error message or code to the school’s IT administrator.
