Gmail is rejecting email from my domain

I have a private domain for my outlook email and gmail says i have a reputation problem most likely because there is no DKIM. How do I get DKIM for my custom domain?

Gmail rejects mail from domains that fail its authentication checks, so you are on the right track looking at DKIM. For a custom domain used with Outlook mail, DKIM is turned on in your mail service admin settings, and then the matching records are added through your domain registrar. After both steps are done, verify that SPF and DKIM pass and allow up to a day for the changes to take effect.

I created it on live.com when was it was new and you could bring your own domain and get free email hosting. There was an administration page on live.com where you had some control and could create new accounts. that page went away when ms switch to outlook.com for webmail. i stopped being able to make any changes when that happened years ago.

It sounds like your domain may be using the legacy Outlook.com/Windows Live custom domain service that was available many years ago (circa 2007-2008). If that is the case, as far as I know, this appears to be a legacy custom-domain email service that may no longer be actively supported or managed in the same way as modern email hosting platforms.

Since the administration page you previously used is no longer available, I am not aware of a current method to configure DKIM through that environment.

Nowadays, custom domains are typically managed through a dedicated email hosting provider, such as Exchange Online (Microsoft 365) or another mail service, where DKIM settings can be configured through the provider's administration portal.

Regarding the report you shared, I can see that SPF passed while DKIM failed. If the domain is still using the legacy custom domain service, there may not be a supported method to enable DKIM signing for that mailbox configuration today.

As a result, you may need to consider migrating the domain's email service to a provider that supports DKIM management. Before making any changes, I would recommend confirming the current email hosting configuration (for example, by reviewing the domain's MX records) and ensuring that any existing mailbox data is backed up.
