A group was created under the root of my Outlook account by someone else. I did not create it and I did not join it. It shows in my calendars and I cannot delete or remove it, non of the options work. i have tried rules and blocking, but the group is still there. Please remove this group from my account on your end.

This is a know issue. Microsoft is aware of the problem but there is currently no fix.

    Welcome Gloria Humeniuk,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A, and I'm sorry for the trouble with this unwanted group. I understand how frustrating it is when it appears in your calendar and you can't remove it.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

    Please try the steps below:

    • Sign in to Outlook.com (https://outlook.live.com) and select Groups in the left pane. If you don't see it, select Go to Groups in the folder list. Open the unwanted group.
    • Select Group settings > Leave group. If nothing happens, open the Members tab first. The ribbon changes and shows Leave group, which some users have found works.
    • Search your Inbox, Junk Email and Deleted Items for Welcome to the group. That message shows who added you and includes a link to leave the group. Use that link if you find it.
    • After leaving, go to Calendar. In the left calendar list, find the group's calendar, select More options next to it, and choose Remove. Then sign out, sign back in, and wait a few minutes for the change to sync.

    Looking forward to your update.
