Hello Team,

Sap success factors app in manage apps in teams admin center became unavailable to users. It was available to everyone in the tenant earlier and was also part of installed apps in Global app setup policy. How to find out how the became unavailable on it’s own other than finding in audit logs?

There was no change done from teams administration end, however we have allowed the app now. Please suggest how to find out what happened.

I remember once same thing happened with planner app which is provided by Microsoft and then there was an advisory so we reverted the change

    Hello Doris,

    Please find my answers below:

    • Approximately when did you first notice the app becoming unavailable- As per the user who reported the issue it stopped working somewhere around August.
    • Was SAP SuccessFactors the only affected app, or did other third-party apps show similar behavior- It’s the only app which was impacted.
    • Is your tenant using app-centric management or the Legacy app permission-policy model- We are using app centric management and it’s been quite sometime since we have been using it.

    Hello Seerat Fatma,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Community.

Thank you for explaining the situation. I understand that SAP SuccessFactors unexpectedly became unavailable to users in your tenant, although no changes were made by your Teams administration team, and that you've already restored its availability.

Since you're looking to identify what caused the change rather than how to enable the app again, there are a few areas worth checking.

    1. Microsoft 365 Service health and Message center: Check for any advisories or announcements around the time the app became unavailable.
    2. App-centric management: Check whether your tenant was recently migrated to app-centric management, as this changes how Teams app availability is managed.
    3. Unified app management: If your tenant uses unified app management, review whether changes or settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center could have affected the app's availability in Teams.

To narrow this down, could you please confirm:

    • Approximately when did you first notice the app becoming unavailable?
    • Was SAP SuccessFactors the only affected app, or did other third-party apps show similar behavior?
    • Is your tenant using app-centric management or the Legacy app permission-policy model?

These details may help determine whether the change was related to app management configuration or a service-side event.

    Best regards.
