    Hi,

The full functionality of Excel is available on the desktop. For Android here is a rough ideA:

On your Android phone, open Excel and tap a workbook or + to create one. The worksheet is a grid: columns have letters and rows have numbers, so cell A1 is column A, row 1. Tap a cell and type using your phone’s keyboard. Tap the check mark to finish. To edit, tap the cell and then the formula bar; to replace its contents, select it and start typing.

Tap a cell to select it. To select several nearby cells, press and hold one, then drag the handles around the range. Tap a row number or column letter to select the whole row or column. For practice, enter Item in A1, Cost in B1, Apples in A2, and 3 in B2. In B3, type =SUM(B2:B2) and tap the check mark.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Wishing you good luck!

For Excel on an Android phone, these are the basic actions for typing, editing, and selection:

    1. Type in a cell
      • Tap a cell, then tap the formula bar, type, and tap the check mark.
      • A faster way is to double-tap a cell to start typing.
    2. Edit what is already in a cell
      • Double-tap the cell or tap in the formula bar to add or edit cell contents.
      • To place the cursor, tap in the formula bar.
      • To open the contextual menu for a cell, double-tap the cell or tap and hold the cell.
    3. Select cells
      • To select one cell, tap the cell.
      • To select multiple cells, tap, then drag the selection handler.
      • To quickly select all cells with content in one direction, tap a cell and flick the selection handle in the direction to select.
    4. Move around the worksheet
      • Scroll by touching the screen and sliding a finger up, down, left, or right.
      • Zoom in by stretching two fingers apart.
      • Zoom out by pinching two fingers together.
    5. Hide the keyboard
      • Tap the phone’s Back key.
    6. Clear a cell
      • Tap a cell, then tap Clear.
    7. Type a formula
      • Tap the fx button to start a formula.
      • Or type = and then enter the formula.

    A simple beginner practice routine:

    • Tap a cell and type a word.
    • Double-tap the same cell and change the word.
    • Select one cell, then drag to select several cells.
    • Tap fx and try a simple formula.
    • Tap Back to hide the keyboard.

For accessibility with TalkBack on Android, data entry can also be done by selecting a cell, opening Edit, typing with the on-screen keyboard, and then using the Enter button.
