After Microsoft 365 is installed on a Mac, the Office app icons are not added to the Dock automatically.

To add Word to the Dock:

    1. Open Finder > Applications.
    2. Open Microsoft Word.
    3. When the Word icon appears in the Dock, Control+click or right-click the Word icon.
    4. Select Options > Keep in Dock.

If Word is not visible in Applications, check Launchpad and open Microsoft Word from there. After it opens, use Options > Keep in Dock from the Dock icon.

There is no single “Microsoft” app in Applications for the whole suite; the individual apps such as Word and Excel appear separately.

    Hi John,

After installing Microsoft 365 on your Mac, open Finder > Applications and locate Microsoft Word. Then either drag the Word icon to the Dock, or right-click (Control-click) the Word icon and select Options > Keep in Dock.
