Hi Microsoft support team,

There were manual AP invoices created in the system, along with AP invoices upload via configuration package in AP module. It looks the number sequencing for AP invoices got duplicated for some of the invoices. I have recreated the sequence now. However the invoices that are already created with duplicate sequencing are continuing. I am unable to delete these. I get an error message that "The record in table purchase invoice header already exists. Identification fields and value : No = "137979" - meaning the invoice already exists in the system as posted invoice and hence the system is unable to delete this invoice. Kindly help on how I can delete these invoices.

    Dear Sumeetha Rao,

Your question is about being unable to delete purchase invoices in Dynamics 365 Business Central. The error "The record in table Purch. Inv. Header already exists" appears because the invoice number sequence was duplicated, so a posted invoice record already uses the same number. This falls within the scope of the Dynamics 365 Business Central product support team, who have access to the appropriate resources to review and correct accounting.

As a forum moderator I can only provide general guidance, and not able to investigate Dynamics-related service behavior, data issues, or environment-specific problems.

Please open the Find Answers | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Community and pick the support option that works best for you.
