What happened to the Wrap Text options within Picture Format??

Question

What happened to the Wrap Text options within Picture Format??

I am on a MacBook and using MicroSoft Word for Mac, version 16114.

I know how to "Wrap Text" around a photo. After I updated Word today, when I insert a photo and then Wrap text (any of the options) the photo is deleted. Not behind the text. It is gone.

What happened to the Wrap Text option??!!??

The Wrap Text feature has not been removed; first use Word’s Selection Pane to recover the picture that becomes invisible after wrapping and determine whether it remains in the document. Recover the picture Immediately after the picture disappears, choose Home → Arrange → Selection Pane. [---]

The problem isn't recovery of the photo. The photo still lives in Finder. The problem is that the inserted photo cannot be WRAPPED and is deleted from the document when any of the Picture Format>Arrange>Wrap text options are selected.

First, restart the Mac. If that doesn't resolve it go to Word> Preferences> View to confirm that Drawings is checked. If still no success please provide the following information:

Specific version of macOS?

What type of image [jpg, png, svg, other]?

Exactly how was it inserted?

Does this occur in one specific document or are all affected in the same way?
