You can't access this site right now

This site requires a security code to sign in. When your security info updates on 11/18/2026 you will be able to access this site. You can still access sites such as Outlook and Skype that don't require a security code.

On 10/19/2026 you requested that your security info be replaced.

Current security info

Phone number ending in 24

New security info

Alternate email: vi*****@gmail.com

If you didn't request this, let us know.

If you'd like to keep your current security info, you can cancel this request.

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Thank you for taking the time to provide the details about what you're experiencing.

I am sorry you are dealing with this situation, especially when your PC is already asking for the BitLocker recovery key and you are having difficulty accessing the account where the key may be stored.

The message “You can’t access this site right now” indicates that the security information on your Microsoft account is currently being replaced. When all security information is removed and replaced, Microsoft places the account in a 30-day restricted state as a security measure. Unfortunately, this waiting period cannot be expedited unless you are able to cancel the pending security-info replacement request.

Based on the message you shared, the security-info change was requested on October 19, 2026, and the new security information is expected to become available on November 18, 2026.

    • If you requested the security-info change and still have access to your previous security verification method, you can try selecting “Cancel this request” on the pending security-info page and follow the prompts.
    • If you did not request this change and believe someone else may have made it, please select “Let us know” on that page and follow the prompts to help protect your account.

For the BitLocker recovery screen, you will need the 48-digit BitLocker recovery key to unlock the encrypted drive. From another device, please check the following possible locations:

    • Your Microsoft account: Sign in to your account
    • Another Microsoft account that may have been used when the PC was originally set up or BitLocker was enabled
    • A printed copy of the recovery key
    • A USB flash drive where the recovery key may have been saved
    • If the PC is or was managed by your workplace or school, check your work or school account or contact the organization's IT administrator

When searching for the key, compare the Recovery Key ID displayed on the BitLocker recovery screen with the Key ID in your account to identify the correct recovery key.

Please also be aware that Microsoft Support cannot retrieve, provide, or recreate a lost BitLocker recovery key.

If the recovery key cannot be found and the condition that triggered BitLocker recovery cannot be undone, resetting the device may be necessary. However, resetting the device will remove your files, so this should be considered only after you have exhausted the available recovery-key locations.

If the recovery key is available only in the currently restricted Microsoft account and you cannot cancel the security-info change, you may unfortunately need to wait until the stated completion date, November 18, 2026 and then try accessing the recovery-key page again.

I hope this information helps clarify the situation and the options available to you.
