Changing Mouse Primary Left Click To Right
I am trying to change my primary left click to the right button.
My O/S is Windows 10 Home and it is up to date.
The mouse is a Logitech M325.
Here's what's happening.
I go to Settings, Mouse or to Logi Options+ and change the primary button to the right button.
My primary button is now the right button.
All is good until the computer is restarted or starts up the next day and the primary button reverts back to the left button.
What I did next was open Control Panel and click Mouse. Which bring up the Mouse Properties Window.
In the Properties I change the primary button from left to right click apply and oKay.
When the window closes the primary button reverts back to left.
I contacted Logitech Support and after 45 minutes of Q&A they suggested getting in touch with Microsoft because it maybe in the operating system.

When I clicked Post Answer I lost the entire reply.
But I did as you suggested; disabled all logitech software at start up and re booted.
As the mouse was already on right primary. When going to the settings>mouse it was still on right primary. So I did not touch it. I am guessing that there is a conflict with the Logitech software.
I will, however, give you an update the next time, tomorrow, I start up my computer. Unless you have something else you would like me to try?
Thank you.

An additional check that you can try is to create a temporary local Windows user account and set the primary button to Right there. Restart the PC and check whether the setting remains.
If it does, that strongly narrows the problem to the original user's profile or its saved preferences rather than the mouse itself.
If the behavior continues even in another account, please let us know. That result would help narrow the next troubleshooting step without repeating the methods you have already tried.

Also, does the setting revert immediately when you change it through Windows Settings, or only after restarting when Logi Options+ is running? These details will help determine whether the problem is caused by conflicting software or Windows failing to retain the preference.
As an additional troubleshooting step, I suggest temporarily preventing Logitech's software from loading at startup. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, open Task Manager > Startup, locate Logi Options+ and any other Logitech configuration utilities, and select Disable. Then restart Windows, open Settings > Devices > Mouse, and change Select your primary button to Right without opening Logitech's software. Restart once more and check whether the setting remains saved. If it does, this would suggest that a Logitech background process or configuration is overriding the Windows setting. If it still reverts, Microsoft's recommended next step is a clean boot to identify possible third-party software conflicts.

Please let me know the results of the startup test to determine the next step without repeating the procedures you've already tried.
