    Hi,

    Please restart the computer once.

    • Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.
    • Type "winver -i"
    • Press Enter.
    • Wait for the process and try again to install.

If it does not help, try using winget command to install. Installing the app using a package manager as an alternative might work.

    In the Windows search,

type cmd, right-click it, and choose run as administrator.

    Execute this command:

    winget install 9pfhdd62mxs1

    Press Y when Prompted.

Reset the Microsoft Store cache first, then retry Apple Music from its Store listing rather than repeating the existing failed download directly.

    1. Reset the Store cache

    1. Press Windows key + R.
    2. Enter:
         wsreset.exe

    3. Select OK.
    4. A blank Command Prompt window should appear for about ten seconds, close automatically, and reopen Microsoft Store.
    5. Sign in to the Store and open the Apple Music listing, then select Install. This reset is Microsoft’s documented first step when an app cannot be installed.^1^

    2. Update Windows and troubleshoot the Store

    If the same message returns:

    1. Open Start → Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update.
    2. Select Check for updates, install everything offered, and restart the PC.
    3. Return to Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot → Additional troubleshooters.
    4. Select Windows Store Apps → Run the troubleshooter.^2^
    5. Open Microsoft Store → See more (…) → Downloads and updates → Get updates to update the Store itself.

Also verify Settings → Time & Language has the correct date, time, time zone, and region. Apple Music availability and features can vary by country or region.^3^

    3. Check whether Windows 10 is eligible

The available Apple Music listing confirms that it is offered for Windows, but it does not expose the exact minimum Windows 10 build in the available listing information. On the Store page, expand System requirements and compare it with your PC:

    1. Press Windows key + R.
    2. Enter winver and press Enter.
    3. Compare the displayed version/build with Apple Music’s requirement.

If the Store displays “This app will not work on your device”, disables the install button, or lists a newer required Windows version, Store repair will not bypass that compatibility restriction. Microsoft Store blocks installation when an app is incompatible with the device.^1^

As an alternative, iTunes remains listed in Microsoft Store and includes Apple Music access, subject to its own displayed system requirements.^4^

    If it still fails

Record the exact error code shown under “Something went wrong”. If it is 0x80131500, Microsoft additionally recommends checking Internet Options:

    1. Press Windows key + R, enter inetcpl.cpl, and select OK.
    2. Open Advanced and scroll to the TLS settings.
    3. Clear Use TLS 1.0 and Use TLS 1.1.
    4. Select Use TLS 1.2 and Use TLS 1.3, then select OK.^2^

Do not reset the entire Store-app repository without a specific error such as 0x80073CFE; that procedure removes installed Store apps and can require a Windows repair installation.
