Connecting and synchronizing calendars across Microsoft Teams and other services like Outlook
Dear Chris-Anon,
The Teams Meeting button in Outlook for Mac appears in the Outlook for Mac ribbon if Outlook is running production build 16.24.414.0 and later and is activated with a Microsoft 365 or Office 365 client subscription.
Gmail and other POP/IMAP accounts aren't supported for this functionality, and a personal Outlook.com/Microsoft account may not provide the required Teams meeting integration either.
If the add-in is missing or disabled, it can interfere with scheduling online meetings. This article explains who is eligible to use the add-in, why it might be disabled or missing: Understanding the Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Outlook: Eligibility, Issues, and Troubleshooting
In this case, please make sure that you're using a supported Microsoft 365 work or school account then, please try the following:
- In Outlook for Mac, select Tools > Accounts, select your Microsoft 365 account, and confirm that the account is shown using your full work/school email address.
- Make sure you're signed in to both Outlook and Microsoft Teams with the same work or school account.
- Fully quit both Outlook and Teams. Then open Microsoft Teams first, sign in, and open Outlook again.
- In Outlook, open Calendar > New Event and check whether the Teams Meeting option is now available.

If the issue still persists after trying the steps above, could you please confirm the following:
- Do you experience the same issue when scheduling a Teams meeting from Outlook on the web?
- Are any other users in your organization experiencing the same issue, or does it appear to affect only your account?
Please let me know the updates on your side whether it helps or not. Thank you for your valuable time and cooperation.
