Problem description
I am experiencing higher CPU usage in my Azure Service Bus account starting October 1, 2026, despite processing the same volume of messages as before. The issue affects multiple queues, and I have not observed any recent changes in my sender or receiver applications, such as deployments, code updates, or configuration modifications.
Environment
Azure Service Bus using queues, topics, subscriptions in the affected namespace, multiple queues involved. Premium SKU in East US.
What I've already tried
I've asked Azure Observability Agent to investigate and it confirmed there's no change in volume of messages to warrant an increase in CPU utilization. The service bus metrics show this too.
Current status
I am seeking assistance to understand the cause of increased CPU usage without a corresponding increase in message volume and to identify potential solutions or further diagnostic steps.

To investigate the increased CPU utilization further, could you please share the details as below in the private chat:
Namespace name, Subscription ID, approximate issue start time in UTC, current Messaging Units (MU), and CPU/workload metrics for comparable periods before and after October 1?
Additionally, please let us know if you are currently observing any throttling, latency, message-processing delays, backlog, timeouts, or errors.
This information will help us better understand the behavior and continue with the investigation.
