    Hi, @Peter smith

Can you tell me a little more about the issue?

    1. Have you already installed PowerPoint, or are you trying to download and install it?
    2. Do you have an active Microsoft 365 subscription or a one-time Office license?
    3. What happens when you try to open or use PowerPoint? Do you see an error message, a sign-in prompt, or a request to activate Office?

In the meantime, you can try PowerPoint for free through PowerPoint for the web: https://www.microsoft365.com/

Sign in with your Microsoft account to check whether you can access PowerPoint and the other available Office apps.

    Thanks!

You can use PowerPoint for free on your Mac through a web browser without installing the desktop application.

    Start PowerPoint for the web

    1. Open Safari, Chrome, or another supported browser.
    2. Go to PowerPoint for the web.
    3. Sign in with a personal Microsoft account or a Microsoft 365 work or school account. If you do not have a Microsoft account, you can create one for free.^1^
    4. Select:
      • New blank presentation to start from scratch.
      • A theme or template.
      • Recent to continue an existing presentation.
    5. Click the title at the top to name or rename the presentation.^2^

To add slides, select Home > New Slide, then choose a layout.

    Open and save files

PowerPoint for the web stores presentations online and automatically saves changes every few seconds.

    • To edit an existing Mac file, upload it to OneDrive and open it with PowerPoint for the web.
    • To obtain a PDF copy, select File > Export > Download as PDF.^2^
    • A browser and Internet connection are required. Offline editing requires the PowerPoint desktop application.^3^

The free web version supports creating, editing, presenting, sharing, images, videos, transitions, and animations. Some advanced functionality—such as Presenter View, advanced formatting, and certain media or review features—requires the desktop application.^3^
