A cloud-based identity and access management service for securing user authentication and resource access
Microsoft Q&A cannot reset MFA or restore access to a tenant, but these are the supported recovery paths I would try in order:
- On the sign-in page choose Sign in another way and try any previously registered method, recovery code or security key.
- If you still have an authenticated browser session, do not sign out or clear it. Use that session to review Security info and, if you have the necessary role, register another method.
- If no authentication method works, use the official Azure support path for subscription/account access. If sign-in prevents creating a normal technical ticket, use the billing/subscription support route and ask for the case to be routed to tenant/account recovery or data protection.
- Provide tenant ID, subscription ID, billing evidence, domain ownership and a safe callback address only inside the private support case. Do not publish them in Q&A.
- Keep one case open and add evidence to it rather than opening many duplicate requests.
Because this is a personal tenant and the only administrator is locked out, there is no supported command or back door that another community member can run to bypass MFA.
After access is restored, add a second administrator and create two monitored cloud-only emergency-access accounts. Give them strong, separate phishing-resistant authentication, exclude them only from policies where Microsoft’s emergency-access guidance requires it, alert on their use, and test them regularly.
Please also edit the public question if it contains a tenant ID, subscription ID, email address or telephone number.
