Hello,

I am trying to add/buy more cloud storage.

I add all my bank details, that I use everyday to make online payments and purchases.

It keeps telling me to make sure all my details are correct. However, all my details are correct.

Can you please help.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

If you are using a VPN please be sure to turn it off. Right now the post you made looks like it originated in the US so that could be what's causing the issue. You could also try adding your billing information via https://account.microsoft.com if you haven't done so already.

If all else fails though I'm afraid that no one here would be able to help as this is an open forum and account access may be necessary for proper help. For this I would recommend that as a last resort (after you've tried all other steps) please try starting an online chat with Support via https://support.microsoft.com/contactus. Just follow the instructions until you reach a person. You can explain the issue and they should be able to help.

Contact the bank or payment provider first and ask whether it is blocking the Microsoft recurring online transaction; if no block exists, remove and re-add the payment method or use another supported method.

Since the payment details have already been checked, there is no need to enter the same information repeatedly.

    1. Ask the bank about the declined transaction
      • Ask specifically about blocks on Microsoft, online, international, or recurring subscription payments.
      • Confirm that sufficient funds or credit are available.
      • A card working for other purchases does not rule out a merchant-specific transaction block. Microsoft lists contacting the payment provider as a next step for declined payments.^1^
    2. Check that the payment method is supported in the account’s country/region
      • OneDrive plans and availability vary by country or region.^2^
      • Microsoft also notes that not every payment method is supported in every region.^3^
      • Use a payment method issued for the same country/region as the Microsoft account and billing profile.
    3. For a personal OneDrive account, replace the saved payment method
      • Open Microsoft account → Payment & billing → Payment options.
      • Remove the failing method, add it again, and retry the OneDrive purchase.
      • Alternatively, add a different card or supported payment method.
      • For an existing OneDrive plan, open Manage Storage → Manage → Services & subscriptions → OneDrive → Change how you pay → Add a new way to pay.^4^
    4. If purchasing through an app or Store, purchase online instead
      • Sign in with the same personal Microsoft account used by OneDrive and buy from the online OneDrive plans page. Microsoft recommends this when access through the Store fails.^4^

If this is a work or school account

Payment methods for business purchases belong to the organization’s Microsoft 365 billing profile. A user with billing permission must manage them under Microsoft 365 admin center → Billing → Payment methods. If that option is unavailable, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365 administrator for billing access.^3^

    If payment still fails

Contact Microsoft Support, select Get Help, and describe it as a OneDrive storage purchase/payment-method rejection. Support can route account and billing issues to the appropriate team.^5^

Do not post card numbers, CVV codes, bank details, or Microsoft account identifiers in this public forum.
