    Hi Fouad, :)

The "Video input / No signal" box comes from the monitor itself. It means the monitor isn't getting a picture from the PC. The monitor keeps scanning its inputs, which is why the message repeats every few minutes. What to check depends on whether you ever see Windows.

If the screen never shows anything (not even the startup logo)

    • Check that the PC is actually running (fans, lights) and isn't stuck in sleep. Press a key, or press the power button briefly.
    • Reseat the cable at both ends. If your PC has a separate graphics card, plug the cable into the card's ports, not the motherboard ports. The card's ports are usually lower on the back; the motherboard ports sit next to the USB ports.
    • Use the monitor's buttons to select the exact input you're plugged into (HDMI 1, DisplayPort, etc.) instead of "Auto".
    • Try a different cable or port, or connect the PC to a TV or another monitor. This tells you whether the PC or the monitor is at fault.

If Windows works, but the screen goes black every few minutes

    • Check the timeouts in Settings > System > Power (or Power & battery) > Screen and sleep. If the black screen matches one of these times, Windows is simply turning the display off.
    • When it goes black, press Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B. This restarts the graphics driver. If the picture comes back, the driver is the likely cause.
    • Install the latest driver directly from your graphics card maker (NVIDIA, AMD or Intel) rather than relying on Windows Update.
    • Open Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System and look for errors at the times the screen went black. Event ID 4101 ("Display driver stopped responding") points to a driver or graphics card issue.
    • In Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings, set PCI Express > Link State Power Management to Off.
    • If you run a high refresh rate or resolution, try lowering it or using a newer cable. Older HDMI cables can drop the signal at higher bandwidth.

If none of this helps, please reply with:

    • your PC model or graphics card
    • the cable type (HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA)
    • whether it also happens before Windows loads

That narrows it down a lot.
