No worries, you don't need a system administrator for a home PC. Let's first see what Windows says about your activation, because many PCs are already activated with a digital license and never needed a key.
- Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.
- Look at Activation status.
- If it says Active (for example "Windows is activated with a digital license"), you're done. No product key is needed.
- If it says Not active and you have a key (on the box, a sticker, or a purchase email), select Change product key and enter it.
- If you don't have a key, select Go to Store (or Open Store) on that same page. It opens the Microsoft Store where you can buy a Windows 11 license for this PC.
- If this PC belongs to a school or workplace, it's activated by them. In that case, ask their IT team instead of buying a key.
Please don't post a product key or personal details here, as this forum is public.
What does the Activation status line say on your PC?
If this sorted out your activation, please consider accepting it as the answer. If the status shows an error code, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
