The latest BIOS is specific to the PC or motherboard model, so first identify the manufacturer and model; HLF67M4 may be the device name rather than the model needed for a safe BIOS lookup.
Find the model name
Option 1 — Windows Settings
- Right-click Start.
- Select Settings → System → About.
- At the top, look below Device name for the model name. Do not confuse the device name with the model.^1^
Option 2 — System Information (recommended)
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter
msinfo32, then press Enter.^2^ - Select System Summary in the left pane.
- Provide these entries from the right pane:
- System Manufacturer
- System Model
- BaseBoard Manufacturer
- BaseBoard Product
- BIOS Version/Date
If some information is missing, search for System Information, right-click it, and select Run as administrator.^3^
For a custom-built desktop, the important fields are usually BaseBoard Manufacturer and BaseBoard Product, because the BIOS comes from the motherboard manufacturer. Once those values are known, compare the installed BIOS Version/Date with the BIOS listed on that manufacturer’s support page.^4^
Do not install a BIOS selected only by “Windows 11” or by the name HLF67M4. BIOS files must match the exact PC or motherboard model. Windows Update may also offer manufacturer firmware under Settings → Windows Update → Advanced options → Optional updates; if none appears, check the manufacturer’s support site for the identified model.^5^
