Camera issue

For a suddenly blurry laptop camera on Windows 11, use this order:

1. Clean the camera lens A blurry image can be caused by a dirty or blocked lens.
2. Test in the Windows Camera app Open Start > Camera and check the preview.
   • If it is blurry there too, the issue is system-wide.
   • If it is only blurry in one app, the problem is likely that app’s settings.
3. Adjust camera or app resolution settings Blurry or low-quality video can be caused by resolution settings in the camera app or video conferencing app.
4. Check internet quality for video calls If the blur mainly happens in meetings, ensure the internet connection is strong and stable.
5. Check for Windows and optional driver updates Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. Then go to Advanced options > Optional updates and look for camera driver updates. Restart after installing updates.
6. Update the camera driver Go to Start > Device Manager > Cameras. Right-click the camera > Update driver > Search automatically for drivers. Restart the PC after the update.
7. If the problem started after an update, roll back the driver Go to Device Manager > right-click the camera > Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver. Restart and test again.
8. If needed, uninstall and reinstall the camera driver In Device Manager, right-click the camera > Properties > Driver tab > Uninstall Device. Select Attempt to remove the driver for this device, then in Device Manager select Action > Scan for hardware changes. Restart and test again.

If the image is still blurry in the Camera app after cleaning the lens and reinstalling the correct driver, that points to a possible hardware problem with the camera or lens.
