Managing presence indicators such as Available, Busy, or Away to reflect user availability
Hi Robbins,
To change your status, select your profile picture at the top right of Teams. Select your current status to choose another status from the list.
However, Teams does not support permanently keeping the status green. The status will automatically change to Away when the device becomes inactive, is locked, or enters sleep mode. Teams will automatically set the status to Do not disturb in some cases, like when you’re on a call.
For more information, please consult Change your status in Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Support
You can also set durations for any status except Available. However, a more available status (like Busy) will not override a less available status (like Away) even if its duration is set. To learn more about status priority, see Presence in Teams.
