I am a student and I would like to sign into Microsoft apps provided by my school with my school email but I am not able to. I can only login on the websites.

Many schools license only Office for the web. To get the desktop apps, you could buy Office Home (without Outlook), or get a Personal subscription to Microsoft 365.
Check with your school if access to the Microsoft apps is included in your account. Maybe you have just been given web access.
I have checked with my school IT, they told me it was a microsoft problem because I am able to login in on the websites with the same email.
Since your school is Microsoft's customer (and not you personally), the local admin or IT support will have to create a support ticket on your behalf.
