In Google Classroom it is possible to send a copy of a students individual grades to the student via their registered email.

This was really good to do prior to formal school reports. Often this allowed students to SEE easily that they had missed specific assignments.

I know that I can individually export a students grades to excel and then individually email this to the student, however this admin task would take hours for 120 students.

Is this a feature that already exists but is not showing for my educational institution or can it be added to a list of future features.

    Dear @Keir Stanley,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

First of all, I would like to clarify that this is a community forum where users help one another. No one here, including myself, is involved in Microsoft's product design decisions or has direct access to the Microsoft product development roadmap.

Thank you for raising this suggestion. It’s thoughtful of you to look for ways to give students greater visibility into their progress before formal reports are issued.

Based on the available documentation, at this time, Microsoft Teams for Education does not provide a built-in feature to automatically email an individual student's grade report directly to that student, similar to the functionality available in Google Classroom.

Based on the current product capabilities, educators can:

    • View individual student progress through the Grades tab
    • Export grades for an entire class, a specific assignment, or an individual student to Excel/CSV format
    • Return graded assignments so students can view their scores and feedback within Teams

    For references:

Your scenario represents valuable feedback. As a fellow user, I can certainly see the appeal of a feature like this. Having a simple way to share each student's grades directly with them could help improve visibility, encourage accountability, and save educators a considerable amount of administrative time, especially when managing large classes.

For that reason, I'd encourage submitting this suggestion through the Microsoft Feedback Portal.

Once you've submitted it, please feel free to share the feedback link here as well.

Other educators and community members who see value in the same feature can then review it and add their votes or comments, helping increase its visibility to the teams that review customer feedback for potential future improvements.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding!
