That error looks scary, but the important part is "accessDenied". The link reached the file, but your mate's account isn't allowed to open it. This usually happens when the link was shared to a different email than the one they're signed in with, or when the school only allows sharing inside the school.
Try this:
- Open the PowerPoint in OneDrive (or PowerPoint online), click Share, and then the link settings.
- Pick People in your organization if your mate is at the same school, then copy the new link and send it.
- Ask your mate to open it while signed in with their school account, not a personal one. Opening it in a private browser window and signing in fresh helps.
- If it still won't open, the quickest fix is to download the presentation (File > Download a copy) and send the file itself, by email or through Teams.
Is your mate at the same school as you, with a school account too?
If this got your project shared, please consider accepting it as the answer. If you still see the same error, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
