Open an email, then select View > Zoom > Zoom in to enlarge the message text in Outlook.com or Outlook on the web.^1^

Other options

  • Enlarge the entire Outlook page: In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more (the three dots) > Zoom, then increase the percentage. Other browsers provide a similar Zoom setting.
  • Return to the normal size: Open the message and select View > Zoom > Reset.^1^
  • Improve readability for one message: Open the email, select More options > Show in Immersive Reader, then select Text Preferences and move the Text Size slider.^2^

Changing the font size under Compose affects messages you write; it does not enlarge emails you are reading.

Press the Ctrl key on your keyboard and scroll up or down on your keyboard, or press the Ctrl key on your keyboard while tapping the Plus or Minus key on your keyboard, does that zoom the text in Outlook.

If not, what version of the Outlook app are you using.
