HI,

I wonder if it's safe to disable or delete this specific entry in Windows 11. After I deleted this entry from Autoruns,, the entry appear again then I reopen the program.

What should I do?

Thanks very much😊

Autoruns can disable an auto-start entry by clearing its checkbox, or delete the auto-start configuration entry with Delete. A safer first step is to uncheck the entry instead of deleting it, because it can be restored if something stops working.

If the entry reappears after deletion, that usually means something on the system is recreating it. In that case:

    1. Open Autoruns as administrator.
    2. Find the entry again.
    3. Uncheck it instead of deleting it.
    4. Restart Windows.
    5. Reopen Autoruns and check whether the entry is still disabled or has been recreated.

    Useful checks in Autoruns:

    • Use Entry > Jump to Entry to open the Registry or file system location for that item.
    • Use Properties to inspect the executable.
    • In Options, enable filtering such as showing only non-Windows entries.
    • Autoruns also supports signature verification and VirusTotal hash and file submission from scan options.

Color alone is not proof of malware. In Autoruns, some entries can appear red or yellow without indicating infection. Also, entries highlighted in yellow can point to files that no longer exist.

Because the screenshot shows a driver entry, deleting it is riskier than disabling it. Removing the wrong driver can break related hardware or software. Start with disabling only, then verify whether the associated app or device still works.
