Hello,

We have multiple servers running Windows Server 2019 on VMware that have been experiencing crashes over the past month. These servers are unrelated and run different versions of both VMware and Windows Server 2019.

If you need any additional information, please let me know.

Best regards,

    Hi Gabriel,

To narrow down the root cause, could you confirm the following?

    1. Are the servers experiencing a blue screen (BSOD), unexpectedly rebooting, or becoming completely unresponsive?
    2. Event logs: Do you see Event IDs 41 (Kernel-Power), 1001 (BugCheck), or 6008 (Unexpected Shutdown) in Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System around the crash time?
    3. Were any Windows cumulative updates, VMware Tools updates, antivirus/EDR updates, or driver changes deployed shortly before the crashes started?
    4. One last thing is that are any memory dump files available under C:\Windows\Minidump or C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP?

I would also check whether the affected servers share the same antivirus/EDR product or backup software, these kernel applications can cause crashes across otherwise unrelated systems.

If possible, please share the BugCheck code from Event ID 1001 and the dates of the crashes from two affected servers. These details will help determine whether the failures share a common cause and identify the next troubleshooting steps.
