Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Submit Heureka through the German Microsoft for Startups application first; after enrollment, partnership and program inquiries are routed through the Your Microsoft Team section in the Azure portal rather than to a publicly listed Germany/Europe contact person.
1. Apply through the German startup channel
Open the German Microsoft for Startups page and select Jetzt loslegen. The program provides access to Azure, AI tools, technical resources, expert guidance, and go-to-market opportunities. ^1^
Before applying, prepare:
- The registered company name and address exactly as shown in the legal documents
- A concise product description and primary industry
- Website, if available
- Contact and payment details
- An optional 10-character referral code from a participating investor, accelerator, or VC
Sign in with a personal Microsoft account, not a work, school, or company-domain account. On the application page:
- Enter the investor referral code and select Next, if Heureka has one.
- Otherwise, select Continue without a code.
- Complete the contact, business, and Azure account information.
- Ensure the company name and registered address exactly match the legal documents.
- Submit the application and monitor the contact email for the decision.
Microsoft documents eligibility for early-stage, privately held B2B startups from pre-seed through Series B that are developing software, AI, or technology solutions and operate in a supported region. An advanced prototype may fit the product-readiness criterion, but Microsoft determines acceptance during application review. ^2^
2. Route the partnership request after enrollment
Once the startup homepage is available:
- Sign in to the Azure portal using the account associated with the startup registration.
- Open the startup homepage.
- On Overview, find Your Microsoft Team.
- Select Get program support.
- Describe the request as a Germany/Europe strategic collaboration and technical enablement inquiry.
- Include:
- Current prototype stage and target customers
- Intended Azure and Microsoft AI services
- Requested technical collaboration
- Joint-innovation or go-to-market objectives
- Current investors, accelerator affiliation, and referral code, if applicable
Microsoft for Startups Program Support operates globally, with English-language communications, and handles onboarding, verification, program benefits, credits, and routing to the appropriate Microsoft team. It does not provide architecture design, production debugging, optimization, or security reviews. ^3^
If the company is backed by an investor in the Microsoft Investor Network, the Your Microsoft Team area may also provide access to Startup Technical Enablement Teams for technical discovery, architecture discussions, AI infrastructure alignment, scaling, and go-to-market planning. This route depends on investor-network eligibility; it is not available to every applicant. ^3^
3. Use the commercial partner path when appropriate
If “strategic partnership” means jointly selling a product, publishing an offer, or building a broader commercial relationship with Microsoft, use the Microsoft partner pathway in parallel. ^4^
There is no publicly documented named contact person for startup partnership inquiries in Germany or Europe in these channels. The supported route is therefore:
German startup page → application → startup homepage → Your Microsoft Team → Get program support
For application questions before the startup portal becomes available, use the program-support guidance linked from the official application page. ^2^
