Microsoft Teams Rooms 5.7.112.0 causes black camera video and black content sharing on Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub (Windows 11 25H2 / 11H1 image).

Symptoms:

  • Camera works in Windows Camera app
  • Camera preview works in MTR
  • Live meeting camera becomes black
  • Content sharing becomes black
  • Multiple devices affected
  • Same Intel graphics driver works on devices running previous MTR version
  • Reinstalling graphics driver or flashing BIOS may temporarily resolve issue, but problem returns.

Can't find a way to downgrade MTR without re-installing the HUB's.

    Hello,

Because the 5.7 update recently switched app delivery to be distributed exclusively through the Pro Management Portal instead of the store, manually rolling back a specific app version without using the recovery tool to repave the hubs is much more locked down now.

Before we even look at wiping and imaging, I want to see if we can get this stabilized.

What exact generation of the Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub are you using and what specific camera hardware is attached to these affected rooms? The recent update introduced native room console camera controls and there have been a few conflicts floating around where specific camera firmware chokes up right as the live meeting video stream tries to initialize.

Also let me know if you are running a single or dual front of room display configuration. It would also help to clarify if the content sharing goes completely black just on your local room screens or if the remote participants see a black stream on their end as well.

Let me know those hardware details and we can figure out our next step.

We have the same issue with 3 teams meetingrooms.
Our rooms also received Microsoft Teams Rooms 5.7.112.0.
    Windows 11 25h2 IoT.
We dont use Lenovo Hub, but Intel NUC11TNKi5000/NUC11TNK.

The workaround "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Dwm. Inside that Dwm key, create a new 32-bit DWORD value named OverlayTestMode and set its value data to 5." didnt solve it for us.
