Recently (in the past few months) the MSDN Product Key page for Visual Studio 2026 Professional has been taken away and replaced with:

No product key needed for Visual Studio 2026

Visual Studio 2026 is available when you sign in with the account your Visual Studio Subscription is assigned to. Product keys for other eligible products and earlier Visual Studio versions remain available under the Product Keys tab in the portal.

If your organization uses Volume Licensing for broad, offline, or managed deployment scenarios, Visual Studio 2026 keys may still be available through your Volume Licensing admin.

I run Visual Studio 2026 under an account WITHOUT Internet access - how do I register my Visual Studio 2026 now ?

    Hi @JONG Kim ,

Thank you for raising this question.

Based on current Microsoft licensing guidance, Visual Studio 2026 Professional is no longer activated through a product key obtained from the Visual Studio Subscriptions portal. Instead, the IDE is normally licensed by signing in with the Microsoft account that has the assigned Visual Studio Subscription.

For qualifying offline, managed, or large-scale deployment scenarios, Microsoft indicates that Visual Studio 2026 licensing keys may still be available through an organization's Volume Licensing administrator. These keys are not provided through the standard Visual Studio Subscriptions Product Keys page.

Therefore, if the computer running Visual Studio cannot access the Internet and cannot perform subscription sign-in:

    1. Contact your organization's Volume Licensing Administrator.
    2. Verify whether your organization has a qualifying Volume Licensing agreement that includes Visual Studio 2026.
    3. Ask whether a Visual Studio 2026 offline/volume licensing key has been issued for your deployment scenario.

If your organization does not have access to a qualifying Volume Licensing entitlement, please review your licensing options with your licensing administrator or Microsoft licensing representative.

If you found my response helpful or informative, I would greatly appreciate it if you could follow this guide for your confirmation. Thank you.
