I have a Lenovo Yoga computer which I had no issues with the first couple of weeks after buying but now when I try to open something in the browser or even click on Edge this message displays below what looks like a cloud

”hmmmmmm can’t reach this page

Check if there is a typo in www.lenovo.com” (this morning it was Lenovo support I clicked on to open) and it had a refresh button but it does not matter what I try to open it says the same

thing. i am connected to WiFi and have ran every diagnostic test, did the recommended things like restarting adapters, etc……. Has anyone ever had an issue like this?

Microsoft Edge | Open the browser | Windows 11

    Hi,

Does the same issue occur in other browsers as well? This can happen if your internet connection drops or your service provider's DNS has a problem. If so, let's try changing a few settings in Edge to check whether DNS is causing the issue. If that helps, we can apply the same settings in other browsers as well.

    • Go to Edge Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Security
    • Enable Use Secure DNS
    • Select Choose a provider
    • Click on the text box and select Google (Public DNS)
    • Close the tab and then restart the computer

Since Wi‑Fi shows connected but no browser page opens, isolate whether this is a browser problem or a Windows network problem.

    1. Try the same website in another browser.
      • If it also fails there, the issue is likely the network connection on the PC, not Edge.
    2. In Windows 11, run the automated network troubleshooter.
      • Open Get Help and run the Network and Internet troubleshooter.
      • It can automatically run diagnostics and attempt to fix common connectivity problems.
    3. Restart the modem and router.
      • If pages still do not load, restart both devices and wait for them to fully power on before reconnecting the PC.
    4. Test the same Wi‑Fi on another device.
      • If another laptop or phone connects normally, the problem is likely specific to the Lenovo device.
    5. Reset the PC network stack from an elevated Command Prompt.
      • Open Search, type command prompt, then select Run as administrator.
      • Run these commands in order:
        • netsh winsock reset
        • netsh int ip reset
        • ipconfig /release
        • ipconfig /renew
        • ipconfig /flushdns
      • Then check whether browsing works.
      • Note: these commands reset network settings and may temporarily disconnect the PC until reconnection completes.
    6. Check the wireless adapter settings.
      • Open Device Manager > Network adapters > wireless adapter > Properties.
      • On the Advanced tab, check Wireless Mode or Band and make sure it allows the network frequency.
      • If both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz versions of the Wi‑Fi are available, try the other one.
    7. If the adapter is missing or disabled, check Device Manager.
      • In Device Manager > Network adapters, make sure the wireless adapter is present and enabled.
      • If it is not listed, Windows may not be detecting it and a manual driver install from the device manufacturer may be required.
    8. If Edge itself opens but stops working, clear its browsing data.
      • In Edge, go to Settings and more > History > Open history page > Delete browsing data.
      • Choose All time, select the available data categories, and select Clear now.
    9. Repair Microsoft Edge.
      • Close Edge.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      • Select Microsoft Edge > Modify > Yes > Repair.
      • Internet access is required for repair, and browser data/settings should not be affected.

If every browser fails with the same message while other devices work on the same Wi‑Fi, the strongest next steps are the network command reset, checking the wireless adapter in Device Manager, and trying the other Wi‑Fi band.
